To truly
know the horse and communicate with it you must be able to understand
how and what it thinks…we must learn to speak horse.
At Morning Star Stable our Custom Training Program looks at each horses
individual personality and designs a training program that is right for them.
Our goal is to train your horse to be a confident, well-mannered
partner that is able to perform, as you desire.
Each horse and rider team is different and we cater to the needs of the
team. Sometimes the horse needs most of the work, other times the rider
needs to improve their skills and learn how to effectively communicate
to their partner. Sometimes the team needs to be split up, the horse
working with a more advanced rider and the rider working on a more
advanced horse to both improve their confidence, balance, and proper use of aids.
Start your horse the right way or fix the problem horse with the help of loving,
experienced horse professionals. We encourage you to audit our training sessions
and to schedule additional lessons with your horse, in training.

blocks are 4
week, hour long
sessions. They can either be private or group sessions. Group lessons
include 2 - 4 students. You can buy a block of 1 or 2 lessons per week,
with varying prices or you can buy a lesson at a time. Grooming and tacking up
are part of our time together. Once you get to know the horses and you are able to safely
and correctly groom and tack up on your own, you can come a half hour
early to have your horse ready for your scheduled lesson.
Off
farm lessons are hour long training sessions for you or your horse, at

Experience the benefits of owning your own horse without the expense of buying one!
Leasing a horse means
that it's not necessary to buy a horse, you do not have responsibility for the full
care of a horse, and best of all you do not need to buy all the necessary
equipment for a horse. A lease offers a great opportunity to decide if owning a
horse is for you and also allows a rider the opportunity to advance and explore
the different styles of riding before purchasing a horse to meet the riders level
and goals. It also allows more time for practice which results in trail riding,
showing, and off farm rides! Leasing is an excellent way to form a bond between a horse and rider.

Bartering
| MorningStar
Stable is a small family run stable. Our mission is to provide a safe,
family, friendly atmosphere where children and youth can can be kept happy
and healthy, as opposed to walking the streets and / or being bored. Our
young people are our future and we want to be part of mentoring the next
generation to dream big dreams, and to have the skills necessary to
accomplish those dreams! The hard work, responsibility, confidence, and joy
that flourish when working with these spectacular animals are only a few of
the important life skills that students at MorningStar Stable will develop.
We know that times are tough and not all those horse crazy kids out there
can afford to have the wonderful experience of working with and riding
horses. With this reality in mind we have developed our bartering program.
There are many hours of labor that go into keeping this facility up and
running, as well as a never ending, "to do" list that grows longer as we
seek to expand to be able to reach more people. If you are a parent that
wants their young person to have an opportunity to experience these
wonderful animals, while being kept busy and developing important life
skills or if you want to sponsor a young person but finances are getting in
your way you might be able to help us. If you have materials and / or
equipment available or skills in carpentry, wood working, welding, large
equipment repair, logging, house cleaning, landscaping, etc., or are hard
working and willing to paint, repair fences, mow lawns, put up hay, shovel
shavings, etc. contact us and we can talk.
*** If you are involved in a bartering program no other discounts offered by
MorningStar Stable will apply.
Our BIG projects this summer and fall are; ring maintenance and repair.
Building walk in shelters for the pastures. Aluminum Siding the main barn.
Turning over, fertilizing, and reseeding pastures. Moving manure mile.
Graveling and sanding dirt paddocks so they are not mud pits during the
"rainy season". Running new fence lines, both electric and wood. |
